Govt removes minimum export price cap on onion, basmati rice

The Indian government has made two big changes. They removed the minimum price for exporting onions. This will help farmers sell more onions to other countries. They also removed the minimum price for basmati rice exports. This means farmers can sell their rice at any price they want. The government hopes these changes will help farmers earn more money. The Commerce Minister thinks this will boost exports of high-quality rice.
