Court in Russia-Occupied Ukraine Sentences 2 Brits, 1 Moroccan to Death

Two captured British fighters have been sentenced to death by a court in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region of Ukraine.

The court in the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic convicted Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner as well as a Moroccan, Brahim Saadoun, of fighting as “mercenaries” for Ukraine and sentenced them to death, Russia’s Tass news service reported Thursday. The men have a right to appeal and are eligible for pardon, according to Tass.
