A Sky News Australia special investigation has revealed how Queensland’s youth justice system has failed the community, with victims calling for more action on a crisis that has spiralled out of control.

In the special documentary titled Youth Crime and Punishment, which aired on Sunday night, Sky News Australia Investigations Reporter Jonathan Lea interviewed legal experts, political leaders and victims of youth crime about proposed changes that could make suburbs and towns safer.

Frustrated residents and crime experts don’t believe Queensland’s youth justice measures go far enough to stem reoffending and protect the community.
