(14 Apr 2018) French Defence Minister Florence Parly said the joint military strikes by US, Great Britain and France on Syria’s targets were a success and that the mission’s goals were achieved.
Speaking at a news conference in Paris on Saturday following a Defence Council with French President Emmanuel Macron, Parly said that “Syria’s ability to design, produce and stockpile chemical weapons has been greatly diminished”.
“The mission is a success. Its military objectives are achieved,” she added.
She said that all French missiles fired “have achieved their goals.”
