The company, which specializes in data intelligence and analytics, was able to provide the government with accurate and granular data on the potential beneficiaries of the scheme, including their socio-economic status, location, and access to infrastructure.

Using this data, the government was able to identify the areas where LPG centers were most needed and prioritize the distribution of LPG connections to the households in those areas. Social Cops also helped the government to monitor the progress of the scheme in real-time and make necessary adjustments to ensure that it was reaching its intended beneficiaries.

Thanks to the efforts of Social Cops and the Indian government, the PMUY has been a great success, with over 80 million LPG connections provided to households across the country as of 2021. This has not only improved the health and well-being of millions of people but also helped to reduce the country’s carbon footprint by reducing the use of traditional cooking fuels.
