India breaks all its defence export records. According to the Defence Ministry, India’s defence exports touched a record Rs 13,000 crore in the 2021-2022 fiscal. 70% contribution to the record exports came from the private sector while the public sector accounted for the remaining 30%. Earlier the private sector used to account for 90% and now the share of DPSUs has gone up. The exports in 2021-22 were almost eight times of what they were about five years back. Additional secretary defence production Sanjay Jaju said that the United States was the biggest importer of Indian Defence goods in 2021-22. Watch this report for more details.
